Traceper needs your location. Your friends, on Traceper, need to keep their location setting turned on in order for Traceper to obtain their location data and you need to keep location setting turned on in order to let any of your friends on Traceper know where you are.
Traceper obtains your location data and then it sends it to server via Internet connection. It uses your resources when sending and obtaining location data. Therefore you need to have mobile internet connection, in order this process to run successfully.
Please note: Traceper uses quite few data while running. Location settings interface may change from phone to phone.
Go to “Settings” on your phone and click on “Location”.
Turn location setting on.
Later, select your location obtaining way.
Here, you will see “High accuracy”, “Battery saving” and “Device only” options.
This option uses GPS, mobile line, (and if present) wi-fi connection to obtain your location data. And It sends your location data via wi-fi connection (if present) or mobile line to server. It gives you the best result, but it overconsumes your battery energy.
“Battery saving” is the best option to send your location data. To obtain your location data it uses wi-fi connection (if present) or mobile line. While sending, it does this with the same resource. Traceper recommends this option.
